Dignified Living Month

The Dignified Living Program is a special fund created by the Northwood Foundation because we recognized that residents and clients were going without items and services necessary to maintaining their dignity and quality of life.

From medical needs like transportation to appointments, dental work, hearing aids, and other necessities that aren’t covered by the government, the Northwood Foundation steps in and tries to help provide people with dignity, belonging and choice.

This September, we’re bringing back our recyclable program. The Northwood Foundation partners with two locations in the HRM, and encourages people to bring their recyclables as part of a donation.

A huge thank you to the following recycling depots for embracing Dignity at Northwood! Tanner’s Enviro Depot and O’Connell’s Recycling. You can now take your bottles to them all year round! Just tell them to “Donate to Northwood.”

Join Northwood each September in celebrating Dignified Living Month. With special events for clients, caregivers and support teams (contingent on government recommendations and health guidelines), an online auction, and more!

Your support matters!

To ensure Northwood remains a leader in continuing care, the Northwood Foundation raises funds for programs and services that bring quality of life and a purpose to their days. What Nova Scotians deserve. What everyone deserves.
